The long awaited Industry Traineeship was delivered to Industry earlier this calendar year by AFIF and our strategic alliance partner – "My Freight Career". The program provides a unique and specifically designed industry apprenticeship scheme. It is also the only Traineeship for International Freight Forwarders which reaches Certificate level 4 in the national accreditation framework. The long-term goal of the program is to increase the number of properly trained and qualified professional staff within the Freight Forwarding Industry. The benefit for young people is that the program offers a genuine career path for those leaving school or tertiary education and who will be encouraged to enter the Freight Forwarding Industry. In addition, we aim to achieve the outcome of reducing the need for businesses to poach staff from other organisations in the business.
