Dear Brian & Stuart
Please see above documents to advise industry of operational changes and cargo security screening solutions at Menzies Aviation cargo terminals effective 01 March 2019. These changes are being introduced to facilitate the forthcoming air cargo security reform as directed by the Department of Home Affairs (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about-us/our-portfolios/transport-security/air-cargo-and-aviation/air-cargo/outbound-international).
A review of our cargo terminal handling fees was also necessary in order to advise industry of associated charges for Enhanced Air Cargo Examination (should forwarders elect for the cargo clearance to be conducted at our CTO’s). Please see attached our 2019 Schedule of Charges which will be effective from 01 March 2019.
Changes have been made predominantly to:
- Enhanced Air Cargo Examination
- Primary X-ray and Primary EMD (perishable cargo) screening options
- Secondary screening procedure (if required)
- Rejection fee
- Free storage conditions – export cargo only
- Import and Export Terminal Handling Fee
- Import and Export Document Fee
