We regret to advise of the sad passing yesterday of Phillip Callus, founder of Customs Agency Services, in Adelaide.

Philip was an ex Customs officer (approximately early 1950’s – 1976) and together with his wife Veronica, founded Customs Agency Services in 1976, one of the then new independent customs brokerages with a focus on International Air and Ocean forwarding.

Always entrepreneurial, Phillip created a very successful SA business, which now serves clients Australia wide and has been owned and operated by his children Mark Callus and Louise Rigoni for the last 25 years.

His daughter Louise Rigoni says: "The staff and business associates all remember Dad's easy going and competitive nature, having worked in the Port and growing up in Semaphore he was a parochial local."

A Funeral Mass will be held at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, Wakefield St, Adelaide, on Friday, March 8 commencing at 2.30pm.
