1. We can help you become MIP ready

As the industry continues to prepare for the introduction of the IATA eFreight initiative, there remains work to be done to improve the quantity and quality of FWB and FHL data from forwarders. IATA are addressing this under their Message Improvement Program (MIP). A number of airlines and forwarders have now committed to MIP.

At CCN, we can assist our customers with MIP through a number of initiatives including:

  • Analysis of data errors on an agent by agent basis

  • Identifying and implementing solutions with software suppliers & IT departments to help reduce data quality problems

  • Provide training and guidance on correcting data errors, including use of the Gateway Report tool on CCNhub

Improving data transmission also helps to ensure a more efficient export and transit process, as well as reducing costs associated with manual data capture.

For further details on how we can help in this area, please contact
CCN Customer Support.

2. CCN awarded Quality Accreditation Certificate for Cargo 2000

CCN has recently been awarded a Quality Certificate by Cargo 2000. This certification reflects CCN’s commitment to our customers through the development of the AXIS system to deliver a fully compliant Cargo 2000 platform that is integrated with our customer’s systems and can be fully customized to their individual needs.

3. Launch of Neutral AWB Issuance Application on CCNhub

The CCN neutral air waybill issuance application on CCNhub is now available for use in Australia & New Zealand.

The facility, which has been in use in other CCN markets for a number of years, provides a central location for forwarders to request their NAWB numbers across multiple participating airlines. The application provides airlines with an efficient process for issuing NAWB numbers back to the forwarders, including full audit trails.

SQ has already commenced using service in Australia, with other airlines currently preparing to trial the facility.

For further information, please contact CCN Customer Support.

4. Exports - Domestic sectors on AAE (XM)

When completing the routing segment on your AWB where the first sector is AaE, please ensure your routing is shown as AAAXM/BBBYY (where AAA is the first domestic transit point, BBB is the destination, YY is the 2nd carrier). This will ensure that the FWB is routed correctly.

For further information, please contact CCN Customer Support.

CCN is once again proud to be a supporter of the AFIF Conference, to be held June 4th to 6th on the Gold Coast. We will have staff in attendance to answer any questions in relation to eBusiness within the air cargo industry.
