BAFA 2011 Conference Update
SAVE MONEY AND REGISTER NOW

Early Bird discount ends on 2 May - so you only have 2 weeks left to register before the price increases.

You can view the latest Conference Business Program on the BAFA 2011 website at: www.bafa.com.au

In this issue of the Conference update we are highlighting the AIRFREIGHT FORUM where Theo Triantafillides, Head of Sales and Marketing, Qantas Freight will deliver the keynote address. In addition one of the main topics of the session will focus on the IATA e-freight and e-AWB developments. e-freight has been around for some time and the take up globally has been slow and varied. IATA are now focussing heavily on the e-AWB component with a view to making the use of it mandatory by 2014. Hear from senior IATA representatives who will deliver a presentation of their program to make this happen and how this will affect your business !

SOCIAL PROGRAM - Added Value!

We are delighted to announce Happy Hour will be held on Friday 15 July, kindly sponsored by the Wymap Group and will be held at the new Hamilton Island Bowling Alley, opened this month. You will have the opportunity to put teams together and enjoy great fun in this 9 pin alley, with prizes on offer.

The Happy Hour now adds yet another opportunity to network with other delegates throughout the conference. The Welcome Reception (sponsored by Qantas Freight) and the Conference Dinner (sponsored by Cargowise) are also perfect opportunities for you to catch up with friends, past acquaintances and meet new industry representatives. In this busy day and age, the opportunity to catch up with others is not to be missed.

HOW TO REGISTER

You can now register for the conference. You can do so on line at www.bafa.com.au. The brochure is available for you to print out from the BAFA 2011 website.

GETTING TO HAMILTON ISLAND

Please note, the conference is being held in the school holiday period for NSW and Victoria and flights to and from the island in this period will be very busy!
So please book your flights early !

Both Jetstar and Virgin Blue have daily direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane direct into Hamilton Island. Alternatively, you can fly to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) and connect to a Ferry transfer to the Island.

GOLF

Once again, golf is proving popular and if you are interested, don't forget to book you place. The course was designed by champion golfer, Peter Thomson and is the only championship island golf course in Australia.

If you are interested in sponsoring a golf hole, there are only a few of these still available so don't hesitate to contact the Conference Secretariat to reserve your company team.

ACCOMMODATION

As it is school holiday time, accommodation will fill quickly and alternatives to the main resort are limited during this period. Book early to avoid disappointment.

If you need further details, please do not hesitate to contact the Conference Secretariat:
