e-AWB! Do you know that airlines will require all consolidations to be booked using e-AWB from 2014? Are you aware of what this is all about and what you will be required to do? KLM in Amsterdam and Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong have already made it mandatory to book using e-AWB. IATA will present full details of e-AWB and e-Freight updates using video enhanced by Stephane Parrenin Cargo Services Manager IATA Australia. Following this hear from Jackson Chan of Cathay Pacific on their experiences in going fully e-AWB in Hong Kong earlier this year.

HOW TO REGISTER You can now register for the conference. You can do so on line at www.bafa.com.au. The brochure is available for you to print out from the BAFA 2011 website.
GETTING TO HAMILTON ISLAND Please note, the conference is being held in the school holiday period for NSW and Victoria and flights to and from the island in this period will be very busy!
So please book your flights early ! Both Jetstar and Virgin Blue have daily direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane direct into Hamilton Island. Alternatively, you can fly to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) and connect to a Ferry transfer to the Island.
GOLF Once again, golf is proving popular and if you are interested, don't forget to book you place. The course was designed by champion golfer, Peter Thomson and is the only championship island golf course in Australia.
If you are interested in sponsoring a golf hole, there are only a few of these still available so don't hesitate to contact the Conference Secretariat to reserve your company team.
ACCOMMODATION As it is school holiday time, accommodation will fill quickly and alternatives to the main resort are limited during this period. Book early to avoid disappointment.
