PRA Update

When will the PRA Become Mandatory?

The implementation date for electronic Pre-Receival Advices is targeted for the 1st June 2004 and will replace the current paper ERA. However, the paper ERA’s will continue to be accepted until 1st August 2004.

Will Deliverance & ediEnterprise be able to generate an electronic PRA?

edi will be modifying the Deliverance and ediEnterprise software systems to be able to send the PRA directly from the system. We hope to have this done some time late May.

Any PRA's for Patricks and P&O Ports will be sent via the 1-Stop system in the format of the EDIFACT IFTERA v5.4 message. Note: 1-Stop will be providing this PRA message routing service Free of Charge.

Any PRA's for CSX Adelaide will be sent directly to CSX in the format of the EDIFACT IFTERA v5.4 message.

As soon as we have completed our testing with 1-Stop and CSX, we will advise our delivery schedule. Even though PRA's are not mandatory on 1st June, our intention is to provide this new feature as early as possible - with current delivery estimates being end of May.

What will the Deliverance & ediEnterprise Upgrade Cost?

There will be no cost to our customers who have a current maintenance contract.

Kind regards
