AQIS have clarified some aspects of their previous Notice on this subject.

Please refer to the amended  linked notice from AQIS advising of the phasing-in of mandatory treatment requirements for all solid wood packaging and dunnage arriving by Air or Sea.

From January 1st 2006, AQIS will require evidence of application of quarantine approved treatment to all solid wood packaging and dunnage. Quarantine clearance of all solid wood packaging and dunnage on the basis of an inspection alone will no longer be an option. A ‘phasing-in' period will apply from 1 January 2006 until 1 May 2006.
