Wednesday, January 12, 2005 Sydney Drops Wharfage on Boxed Aid Cargoes Dear {Firstname}, As reported by Lloyds List DCN today, Sydney Ports Corporation is to waive wharfage charges for containerised aid cargoes being shipped from Sydney and Port Botany to tsunami-stricken regions of Asia. Forwarders should contact SPC's Peter Watts on pwatts@sydneyports.com.au in advance of the shipment, giving the name of the ship, the voyage number and the container number. Melbourne and Fremantle have already announced similar waivers of wharfage charges.
