EDI have updated the website (http://www.edi.com.au/cmr.htm) to include all the CMR Upgrade documentation for both Deliverance & ediEnterprise products.

1. Deliverance & ediEnterprise Upgrades are now available
Deliverance software upgrade Version # 10.2024 and above. This upgrade requries a REINDEX. If you have multiple companies sharing the same Deliverance system files (ie. Fox directory), please contact the Help Desk as there are some specific configurations that are required.

If you have any questions or DO NOT RECEIVE the upgrade, please contact the Help Desk on +61 2 9025 1111 or email support@edi.com.au with your query.

ediEnterprise software upgrade 05-OCT-05 20:42 Version # 1.1.2104.39077. A known problem exists in this version when merging entries. New CP Dec questions are generated when adding a new invoice line or modifying tariff numbers. Even though you have answered all CP Dec questions, ediEnterprise says they are unanswered questions. Work Around: Save the changes to the form, close the form and reopen the form again.

If you have any questions or DO NOT RECEIVE the upgrade, please contact the Help Desk on +61 2 9025 1111 or email support@edi.com.au with your query.

2. CMR User Guides

3. Instructions on what to do during the transitional period including the Customs Vessel / Flight Transition List

4. Business Continuity Plan Instructions

5. Application specific functional capabilities and issues
Please download all the appropriate documentation and update your staff on the necessary changes to the system and processes.

6. Important payment issues - Integrated Cargo System (ICS)
EFT CLIENT REGISTRATION WITHIN THE ICS. We have been advised that some EFT Bank Account details (supplied on EFT client registration forms to Customs) have been incorrectly entered into the ICS by Customs – errors that have come to notice include wrong limits linked to registrations and clients linked to wrong account names. To check the relevant details, please go to the Customs Interactive and then :

· ICS Production, Client, Summary, Licensed Brokerage, Authorised Bank Account List

To confirm the default bank account for your brokerage, go to the Customs Interactive and then :

· Client, Summary, Bank Accounts

In the event that you identify an inaccuracy, please contact Customs on icsbus@customs.gov.au to initiate remedial action.

7. Have you registered in the Integrated Cargo System (ICS)?
Industry must immediately finalise their ICS registration process.

In the event that your business is still without an Authorised Officer ABN-DSC digital certificate, then you will need to examine the alternatives as outlined in the attached notice prepared by the ICS User Representative.

Registration within the Integrated Cargo System (ICS)

Please ensure that you have completed these final checks :

Go to the “Client Summary View” option within the Customs Interactive to ensure that all registration details are complete. Advice may be needed from your software developer in entering details.

It is also imperative to ensure that all digital certificates (ABN-DSCs and Type 3 Server Certificates) are registered with the Customs Interactive – refer to User / Certificate Maintenance within the Customs Interactive.

SELF REGISTRATION FOR ABN-DSC

The ICS User Representative, Mr Paul Zalai, has created a comprehensive, step-by-step presentation with voice over commentary to provide industry members with clear instructions as to the process registering digital certificates. This presentation, which is aimed at Authorised Officers as well as the actual users of the digital certificates, provides vital information on the following key areas:

  • Purchasing your DC
  • The authorisation of DC users
  • The downloading of signing and encryption certificates
  • The creation and export of the .cer file for registration purposes
  • The registration of the user in the Customs Connect Facility (CCF)
  • Entry into the Customs Interactive (CI)

The presentation will run using an advanced virtual classroom technology so members may need to install software to run the presentation. This software is provided without charge by the CBFCA and simply needs to be downloaded to your computer by following the prompts.

To access the presentation click https://www.elluminate.com/site/pmtg.jnlp?psid=d1908120656.325870

To assist members in using the presentation, a document is attached which outlines some setup tips plus provides the full transcript of Paul Zalai’s presentation.
