SEA Cargo Reporting: MOL advise re Bill of Lading Reporting
Dear {Firstname},
We have appealed to the Shipping Lines for greater clarity in regard to accurate and consistent data reporting in an effort to improve the continuing problem of data matching between cargo reports; underbond requests and ICS decs.
MOL have just advised the following:
Hi Brian,
I refer to your email regarding subject to Nicole Cottrell (ACS) and Llew Russell (SAL) and our recent discussion.
May I share with you our response in regards MOL bills of lading numbers under CMR/ICS and would be very grateful if you would share this information with your Members, for their guidance and clarity,
"MOL is NOT using the alpha prefix of the bill of lading and we request all parties be aware and process data/documentation accordingly. This was ourprocedure under SCA and our software continuity was maintained. We appreciate this opportunity to confirm what we have been advising importers under CMR/ICS."
many thanks Ian Watson, Director/General Manager Admin/IT, Mitsui OSK Lines (Australia) Pty Ltd, Sydney 02 9320 1629
Thanks and regards ,
