Qantas Cargo Terminal Management have advised us that they are experiencing backlogs due to an unusual heavy freighter load this week. Compounding the problem is the impending long weekend and they hope to have most of the backlog cleared by Saturday morning. However members are asked to program collections over the long weekend, as normal operating hours will continue throughout the holiday period. The industry is being asked to assist by not waiting until Tuesday for weekend arrivals.
