Australia

2am AEST on 12 October 2005 is the cutover date for the Import phase of CMR

All reporting and declarations for cargo on board an aircraft or vessel arriving or departing Australia before 2am AEST on 12 October 2005 must be completed through the legacy systems. All declarations made for cargo on board an aircraft or vessel arriving or departing Australia after 2am AEST on 12 October 2005 must be completed through the ICS.

Customs is working with the shipping industry to provide a list of vessels arriving prior to or post cutover.

Business Continuity Plan
Customs has developed an import Business
Continuity Plan (BCP). It provides a guide for reporting, clearance and risk assessment processes for the movement of import cargo. This document should be referred to during any declared outage for the import component of the Integrated Cargo System (ICS). To access the BCP and related contingency forms, click here.

The exports BCP has been amended to reflect up-to-date Customs contact details and changes to outage notification procedures. To review the document, click here.

Digital Certificates - are you prepared?

If you do not have a Verisign Digital Certificate, please download our CMR Checklist from our website.

  • Deliverance Import CMR Checklist
  • ediEnterprise Import CMR Checklist

Note: If you already have a digital certificate in use with Export Declarations, you will not need another Type 3 Certificate. This does not apply if you are migrating from Deliverance to ediEnterprise. Sites migrating will need a new Type 3 Certificate that is setup for ediEnterprise using a different email address.

Deliverance and ediEnterprise "CMR Upgrade" Seminars

The introduction of the Import component of Customs Cargo Management Re-engineering project will bring with it changes to your Deliverance and ediEnterprise software.

To assist our customers in preparing for these software changes, edi are conducting a number of seminars late September/early October to provide the necessary "CMR Upgrade" information.

There are three different seminars being conducted:

    1. Deliverance - Import CMR Seminar
    2. ediEnterprise - Import CMR Seminar
    3. ediEnterprise - Sea Cargo for Removalists (HVSO) Training
A separate email will be sent shortly advertising the dates, times and booking information.

ediEnterprise Invoicing - 2 major changes

In summary:

1. The Job Invoicing screen has been enhanced to provide easier input of charge details, clearer error messages and improved navigation. This change has been made available in ediEnterprise Version 16th August 2005.

2. Invoice Posting and Printing Styles Modification. ediEnterprise now supports a high level of sophistication and flexibility when deciding how Receivables Invoices are posted and printed for each debtor. This change has been made available in ediEnterprise Version 15th August 2005.
