Neutron Scanner Trial - Brisbane

Dear {Firstname},

Further to previous News Bulletins on this project, at this week's Industry Consultative Group meeting, Customs announced that the original start date proposed for the field trial was going to be delayed by nearly a month.  The anticipated new start date is 21st October. This means that all  of  the dates will need to be put back by approximately one month.

Based on the schedule
(click to viewthat would put the "Real-Time performance testing" of actual flights right in the middle of the pre-Christmas rush (revised start date would be end November 2005).

Customs is looking for comments/suggestions/objections from Industry as to the effect, if any, that this may present.

If you wish to state any concerns you may have please do so now and we shall advise Customs in an attempt to influence Customs to reconsider their time frames.

Please advise any comments to email :
afif@afif.asn.au, for the attention of Jodi Latham, AFIF Queensland President,....... by Tuesday September 13th.

Thanks and regards ,
